In our literacy across the curriculum we were supposed to create am activity that we would do with our children outside. We could go anywhere in the state of Arkansas and parents would support us so much. i thought of many ideas but there was something that i thought would be fun to do really close to your school. I thought about going to the park and having a football be used to connect a science experiment with reading, science, and out door fun. I recently sent my students outside in a park near the school to use a football to do a science experiment. It was so fun to see them connecting math, science, out doors, and also be able to check off some of the frame works in one class period. They were all able to really grasp some of hate science items that are hard for them to do. i think this activity was a very good one to do. My reflection is that i will do this again with my classes and i will try to do other things like this to help connect literacy and other subjects in one.
